MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal demands relief for Bhucho Mandi residents
Chandigarh, June 1: Shiromani Akali Dal leader and former Union Cabinet Minister Harsimrat Badal writes a letter to Road Transport and Highway Minister Nitin Gadkari regarding the Lehirabega Toll Plaza on the Bathinda-Barnala main road. She stated that the residents of Bhucho Mandi should be given a rebate on the expenses incurred on the toll plaza. Also Read: Satyendra Jain’s arrest: BJP MP slams AAP for defaming ED over arrest The residents of Bhucho Mandi are constantly demanding exemption from this expenditure as the toll plaza is just 2 km from Bhucho Mandi and the locals have to bear the high cost of daily commute. Harsimrat Badal in the letter said that as per the current guidelines remote villagers should be exempted from toll charges.
