AAP releases second list of candidates; Awadh Ojha to contest from Sisodia's constituency Patparganj
PTC News Desk: The Aam Aadmi Party has released second list of candidates in the wake of upcoming Delhi assembly elections. In a significant move, party's top leader Manish Sisodia will be contesting from Jangpura constituency instead of his current Patparganj.
Educator Awadh Ojha who recently joined the party will be contesting from Patparganj, held by Sisodia since his maiden election in December 2013.
In the February 2015 elections, Sisodia won against the BJP's Vinod Kumar Binny, and in the 2020 elections, he triumphed over the saffron party's Ravinder Singh Negi.
As the party continues to strengthen its position ahead of the elections, the second list of candidates includes key names and new faces, as AAP seeks to maintain its dominance in Delhi's political landscape.
AAP's election machinery is working to establish its strategy for retaining power in Delhi, with Arvind Kejriwal at the forefront of the decision-making process.
Earlier on Sunday, AAP announced the members of the Screening Committees for the upcoming local body elections in Punjab.
