PTC News Desk: Impressed with the quick presence of mind shown by the 13-year-old girl, who saved a baby from monkey using Alexa, Chairman of the Mahindra Group Anand Mahindra has offered a job opportunity to the UP teen.
Nikita, from Uttar Pradesh's Basti district, used Amazon's virtual voice assistant tool Alexa to save her one-year-old niece from a monkey attack.
Anand Mahindra praised her presence of mind, saying, “The dominant question of our era is whether we will become slaves or masters of technology. The story of this young girl provides comfort that technology will always be an ENABLER of human ingenuity. Her quick thinking was extraordinary. What she demonstrated was the potential for leadership in an entirely unpredictable world. After she finishes her education, If she ever decides to work in the corporate world I hope we at Mahindra Rise will be able to convince her to join us!!”

The incident took place while Nikita, 13, was visiting her sister. She was playing with her one-year-old niece near the kitchen on the first floor of the home. A monkey suddenly entered the house and proceeded to the kitchen. Other family members in the house were in the other room, completely unaware of the monkey.
The monkey began throwing utensils around the kitchen and tried to approach and attack the girls.
The baby, unable to comprehend what was happening, began calling for her mother. This is when Nikita noticed the Alexa device on the fridge and asked it to 'bark'. The device then produced loud barking sounds, scaring the monkey away.
