PTC News Desk: Ashneer Grover, founder of BharatPe, extended a heartfelt message to Nithin Kamath, co-founder of Zerodha, after the latter revealed his recent struggle with a mild stroke. Kamath shared his ordeal, attributing potential causes such as stress from his father's passing, inadequate sleep, exhaustion, dehydration, and intense workouts. The 44-year-old emphasised the importance of recognizing signs of overexertion and taking necessary breaks for self-care.

In response to Kamath's disclosure, industry peers and well-wishers flooded in with messages of support and encouragement. Ashneer Grover, empathising with Kamath's experience, urged him to prioritise his health and well-being, drawing from his own personal struggles after his father's demise. Deepak Shenoy, founder of Capital Mind, and Bhavin Turakhia, founder of Zeta suite, echoed similar sentiments, expressing solidarity and admiration for Kamath's resilience.


Despite his ongoing recovery, Kamath demonstrated determination by sharing photos of himself, one from his hospital bed and another on a treadmill, symbolizing his journey towards recuperation. Reflecting on his progress, Kamath acknowledged the initial challenges he faced, from physical limitations to cognitive impairment, emphasising the gradual improvements he experienced over time.

Recognizing the importance of self-awareness and self-care, Kamath emphasised the need for individuals, regardless of their fitness levels, to heed warning signs and adjust their pace accordingly. He emphasised the critical role of taking breaks and shifting gears down when necessary to safeguard one's health and overall well-being.

Kamath's candid revelation and subsequent reflections serve as a poignant reminder of the importance of prioritizing health and self-care amidst the demanding pressures of professional and personal life. His journey towards recovery underscores the resilience and strength inherent in facing adversity with courage and determination.
