Bengaluru boy missing from coaching centre found in Hyderabad after 3 days

PTC News Desk: In a heartening turn of events, 12-year-old Parinav, a student of Deens Academy in Gunjur, Bengaluru, who had gone missing after leaving his coaching centre, was discovered at a metro station in Hyderabad after three days.

Parinav's family reported him missing on January 21 when he failed to return home from his coaching centre. The local police, in their efforts to locate him, examined CCTV footage and even explored the bustling Majestic bus station, a central transportation hub in Bengaluru. Social media played a pivotal role in the search as concerned citizens widely shared pictures of Parinav, contributing to the visibility of his case. The collective effort of online communities gained significance in the search for the missing boy.

The breakthrough came on Wednesday morning when a Bengaluru resident, visiting Hyderabad, spotted Parinav on the same metro she was traveling in. Recognising the boy from circulated images on her phone, she approached him, and Parinav confirmed his identity. Subsequently, the police detained him at the Nampally metro station.

Sukesh, Parinav's father, a software engineer residing in Whitefield, expressed gratitude, saying, "We don’t know the exact details of how he ended up there. We are now rushing to Hyderabad to pick him up and will update you once we know all the details. But I really want to thank all those nameless strangers who helped us in finding my boy. Without his picture being splashed all over, the person in Hyderabad would never have thought to stop a boy and ask."

The collaborative efforts of both the online and offline communities contributed significantly to the happy resolution of this missing person case.
