Brazen assault: Delhi family thrashed, molested and stripped at home by four men
PTC News Desk: A dispute over a gym operating out of a residential building escalated into a violent assault in east Delhi's Laxmi Nagar where a man was thrashed, his wife was allegedly molested and their son was stripped naked on a street and beaten up by a group of men.
The incident took place on January 2 was caught on CCTV, which has been seized as part of the investigation.
According to the police, the complainant, Rajesh Garg, own a house in Laxmi Nagar and runs a gym in its basement. He alleged that gym's caretaker, Satish Yadav, defrauded him and took over the commercial venue.
The complainant alleged that the assault unfolded on January 2 when he and his wife went to the basement to check a water leak, when Yadav and some men walked down.
Garg said the men punched and kicked him, and molested his wife. When his son came to check on them, the men caught hold of him, took him to the street outside their house and stripped him.
Police said CCTV footage shows the alleged assault and is being examined to stablish the sequence of events.
Garg's wife said she hired Satish Yadav as the gym's caretaker, and never gave him any ownership rights. She alleged their requests to him to leave, after he had asserted ownership, often led to violent behaviour earlier too.
"They dragged him (her husband) into the gym, stripped him, and beat him with iron rods. They threatened to end his bloodline," she said in the FIR.
Their son has sustained serious and broken teeth, while Garg as serious injuries on the face and head with swelling on left side of the face, making it difficult to even open the mouth.
