NEET-UG paper leak: In a major breakthrough in the NEET-UG paper leak case, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested the Principal of Oasis School, Dr Ehsaan Ul Haq and Vice Principal Imtiaz Alam from Hazaribagh.

Dr Ehsaan Ul Haq was the city coordinator for NTA and Alam was the City coordinator for NTA

On Thursday, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) made its first arrests in the NEET-UG paper leak case in Bihar, detaining two individuals - Manish Prakash and Ashutosh from Patna. One of the detainees, Manish Prakash, is suspected of booking a room for at least two dozen students involved in the scandal.

The school booking was made through Manish Prakash's friend Ashutosh, also an accused, a day before the NEET exam. The CBI is investigating how the leaked paper ended up at the school and the roles of Manish Prakash and Ashutosh Kumar in the paper leak.

The National Testing Agency (NTA), which conducted the NEET-UG examination, is facing criticism over alleged irregularities. This prompted a series of protests across the country, with demonstrators and political parties demanding to disband the NTA.

The NEET-UG examination, conducted by the NTA, is the pathway for admissions into MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, and other related courses in government and private institutions across the country
