Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri to brief parliament panel on Operation Sindoor today
PTC News Desk: Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri to brief Shashi Tharoor’s parliamentary panel on Monday on India-Pakistan tensions, detailing India’s strikes on Pak terror sites in Operation Sindoor. This will be first such briefng by government officials to parliamentary panel following Pahalgam attacks.
The Parliamentary panel led by Congress MP Shashi Tharoor has has scheduled back-to-back meetings for two consecutive days starting Monday on current foreign policy developments regarding India and Pakistan.
The panel also comprise several MPs who are part of the delegation that will be traveling to 32 countries to put forward India's stance in comabating terrorism. Besides Tharoor, the other members in the 31-member panel include Ravishankar Prasad and Sudhanshu Trivedi (BJP), Deepender Hooda (Congress), Abhishek Banerjee (Trinamool Congress), Asaduddin Owaisi (AIMIM) and John Brittas (CPIM).
The committee has asked the officials from Defence ministry as well as External Affairs ministry to brief them on maritime security and India's maritime strategy.
