Haryana: 19-year-old Haryana gangster on interpol's watchlist escapes to US with counterfeit passport
New Delhi, October 27: In a startling turn of events, a 19-year-old fugitive from Haryana, Yogesh Kadian, has found himself on the Interpol's wanted list for charges of criminal conspiracy and multiple attempted murders. What sets this fugitive apart is his alleged role as a key player in the ongoing rivalry with notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, a conflict with global implications.
Yogesh Kadian, who had relocated to the United States just two years ago, is currently linked to the formidable Babinha gang, known for its proficiency in state-of-the-art weaponry. His journey to the United States was shrouded in deception, as he managed to escape when he was merely 17, armed with a counterfeit passport.
Interpol's notice accuses Kadian of several serious offenses, including criminal conspiracy, attempted murder, acts perpetrated by multiple individuals with a common intention, and the unlawful possession and use of prohibited firearms and ammunition.
Sources suggest that Kadian maintains affiliations not only with the Bambiha gang but also with Khalistani terrorists, raising concerns about the international dimensions of his criminal network. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) recently conducted raids on his residence and known hideouts in India in an attempt to probe these alleged connections. In a bid to aid his capture, a reward of Rs 1.5 lakh has been announced for information leading to his whereabouts, and Interpol has issued a red corner notice against Kadian.
A Red Corner Notice, a request from Interpol to member countries, calls for the location and temporary detainment of a person pending extradition, surrender, or other legal processes. The Interpol has previously issued Red Notices against other fugitives, such as gangster Himanshu alias Bhau, who is believed to be residing abroad. These fugitives are reportedly collaborating to dismantle the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and establish their dominance in the United States and Canada.
Currently, gangster Lawrence Bishnoi is incarcerated in an Ahmedabad jail on charges related to drug smuggling, a case under investigation by the National Investigation Agency (NIA). Bishnoi has also been implicated in the murder of singer Sidhu Moosewala. His notoriety resurfaced recently when he claimed responsibility for the assassination of Khalistani terrorist Sukhdool Singh in Canada. Sukhdool, also known as Sukha Duneke, fell victim to inter-gang violence in Canada. Bishnoi has notably issued multiple threats to Bollywood actor Salman Khan, including sending an email warning him of dire consequences if he did not watch an interview featuring Bishnoi on a news channel earlier this year.
