Haryana: Woman alleges sexual assault by police officer husband and accomplices, later sold to another man
Palwal, September 5: A harrowing incident has come to light in Palwal, where a married woman who sought help at a local police station to file a complaint against her husband found herself subjected to sexual assault by associates of a sub-inspector stationed there, according to officials.
The victim was allegedly held captive in a house for three days, during which she endured repeated acts of sexual assault. Shockingly, after this horrifying ordeal, she was purportedly sold to another man who also sexually assaulted her.
An FIR (First Information Report) has been filed against seven individuals, including the sub-inspector from the Hasanpur police station. The incident was reported and the FIR registered on Sunday.
The woman managed to get hold of one of the accused's phones, and using it, she alerted the police to her dire situation. Subsequently, law enforcement personnel rescued her from captivity.
Upon her rescue, the police reunited the woman with her family, and an investigation into the matter is currently underway.
According to the victim's account, she had visited the Hasanpur police station on July 23 in an attempt to seek assistance and met the accused sub-inspector, Shiv Charan. However, he reportedly refused to accept her complaint. Instead, Shiv Charan coerced her into accompanying his associate, Balli, to a nearby field, where they were joined by Niranjan and Bhima. It was in this location that the victim was sexually assaulted, and explicit videos of her were allegedly recorded.
The victim stated in her complaint that the trio then took her to the residence of a woman named Shanti in Palwal, where she was detained overnight and subjected to further sexual assault.
Tragically, her ordeal did not end there, as she claimed to have been sold to a man named Bijendra. In the presence of sub-inspector Shiv Charan, Bijendra and his brother-in-law Gajendra are alleged to have subjected the victim to yet another sexual assault.
This disturbing incident underscores the urgent need for authorities to investigate and bring those responsible to justice while providing support and assistance to the survivor.
