India reacts to Pakistan-Saudi defence pact, says 'Hope Riyadh will keep in mind mutual interests'
PTC News Desk: India on Friday reacted to defence pact between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, asserting that New Delhi expects that Riyadh will keep in mind the mutual interests and sensitivities.
Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal during a press briefing underscored the growing depth of India’s strategic partnership with Saudi Arabia in recent years.
“India and Saudi Arabia have a wide-ranging strategic partnership which has deepened considerably in the last several years. We expect that this strategic partnership will keep in mind mutual interests and sensitivities," the MEA spokesperson told reporters.

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) reiterated that the government would take all necessary steps to protect India’s national interests and ensure comprehensive security across domains.
Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal stated that India will “carefully evaluate the impact of this development on our national security, as well as on regional and global stability.”
Media reports indicate that Qatar and the UAE are also engaged in talks to become part of the defence arrangement with Pakistan.
When asked about these discussions, Jaiswal emphasized that India enjoys “broad-based relations” with both Qatar and the UAE, and that “regular consultations take place.”
MEA Criticizes Pakistan’s Terror Links
Speaking on Pakistan’s continued involvement in cross-border terrorism, Jaiswal highlighted the recent circulation of videos from groups such as Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba within Pakistan.
