ISRO headquarters in Bengaluru receive bomb threat, security heightened

PTC News Desk: The headquarters of Indian Research Space organisation on Thursday received a bomb threat via email, prompting immediate investigation. According to police, the threat mail was sent to the chairman of ISRO, Dr V Narayanan.

Following the alert, police teams and bomb squad personnel reached the premises and carried out a detailed search and sanitisation operation. However, no explosive device was found during the inspection.

Police have launched an investigation to identify the sender and determine the motive behind the threat. Authorities are also checking whether the email was sent from outside India.

This is not the first such incident. Last year, several schools in Delhi, including Delhi Public School Dwarka, Krishna Model School and Sarvodaya Vidyalaya, received similar bomb threat emails, leading to panic and extensive security checks.

Further investigation into the ISRO threat is underway.
