'Left with renewed sense of pride': PM Modi takes sortie on Tejas fighter aircraft
PTC News Desk: Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a sortie on a Tejas fighter plane over Bengaluru on Saturday during a visit to the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited facility.
PM Modi took to social media platform X to share his experience of taking a sortie on a Tejas fighter sortie.
"Successfully completed a sortie on the Tejas. The experience was incredibly enriching, significantly bolstering my confidence in our country's indigenous capabilities, and leaving me with a renewed sense of pride and optimism about our national potential", Prime Minister stated.
Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari of the Indian Air Force was on the spot to oversee preparations for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's maiden flight in the indigenous Made in India fighter aircraft.
According to defence officials, the Chief was on the ground for the Prime Minister's sortie in the LCA Tejas, which was flown by Indian Air Force test pilot Group Captain Debanjan Mandal.
PM Modi is in Bengaluru to visit and inspect the manufacturing facilities, including the Tejas jet facility.
