Nuh violence: Religious place in Gurugram set ablaze, FIR lodged
Gurugram, August 7: Unidentified individuals set fire to a religious place in a village in Gurugram in the wee hours of Monday, as reported by the police.
The caretaker of the place filed a complaint stating that he received a phone call around 1.30 am, alerting him to the incident. With the help of locals, they managed to bring the fire under control.
Demanding action against the culprits, the caretaker expressed concern over the incident. This incident occurred amidst the imposition of Section 144 in Gurugram following communal clashes that originated in the neighbouring Nuh district and subsequently spread to parts of Gurugram last week.
An FIR has been registered against the unidentified perpetrators under Sections 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention), 153-A (promoting enmity between different groups), 188 (disobedience of an order duly promulgated by a public servant), and 436 (mischief by fire or explosive substance with intent to destroy a house) of the IPC.
The police are actively working to identify and apprehend the accused responsible for the incident.
