Pune accident: 2 killed after speeding Porsche crashes into bike
Pune accident: In a horrific and dreadful incident, two killed after a luxury Porsche car, driven by a minor crashed into the motorcycle near Kalyani Nagar in Pune city.
The tragic incident unfolded at 3:15 am when Anish Awadiya and Ashwini Costa were returning home on motorcycles with friends after a night out at a club.
Vedant Agarwal, 17, was driving the Porsche Taycan and crashed the speeding vehicle into their bike at the Kalyani Nagar junction.
The collision was so severe that it flung Awadiya and Costa into the air, and they landed on another car, dying instantly. After hitting them, the Porsche careened into the pavement and stopped.
Police have booked a minor on charges of rash and negligent driving and causing harm by endangering the life or personal safety of others at Yerwaad Police Station of Pune City Police under IPC Section 304A, ,279, 337, 337, 338, 427, and relevant sections of the Maharashtra Motor Vehicle Act.
According to the FIR, a group of friends were returning home on their bikes from a party in one of the restaurants in Kalyani Nagar.
Video footage of the accident showed a group of people thrashing the driver as he tried to come out of his crashed car. A case has been registered at the Yerawada Police Station and police are probing the matter further.
