Ayodhya under thick security blanket: A day before the 'pran prathishtha' of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, the city was transformed into a fortress. On Sunday evening, cops patrolled the Hanumangarhi area's bylanes dotted with devotees.
Plain-clothed police officers are stationed across the venue to monitor crowd movements. 10,000 CCTV cameras and drones equipped with artificial intelligence have been deployed to ensure overall security.
Along with the state police department, central forces such as the Rapid Action Force (RAF) and the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) are heavily involved in security preparations.

Over 10,000 CCTV cameras have been installed across the Ayodhya district. Some of these cameras also use AI-based technology to ensure strict surveillance of commuters. According to the special DG, the entire district has approximately 10,000 CCTV cameras, and coordination has been established with central and state agencies.
Anti-mine drones are simultaneously searching the ground for mines and explosives.
Prior to the January 22 ceremony, Rapid Action Force (RAF) personnel were stationed at Lata Mangeshkar Chowk. The National Security Guard (NSG) has trained nearly 100 SSF commandos in highly specialised anti-terror tactics, and they have been deployed at key vantage points in and around the temple complex, according to sources.
