Rail Alert: Vande Bharat Express to make a halt at these major stations from Dec 30, check details

Vande Bharat Express Alert: Good news awaits Vande Bharat passengers as the Railway Ministry has greenlit the operation of a high-speed Vande Bharat train along these major stations. 

In a major relief for passengers, ease of travel, ease of business and overall ease of living, the  new Vande Bharat express train from Katra to Delhi starting from December 30 will have stops at Udhampur, Kathua  and Jalandhar railway stations. 

Amritsar-Delhi Vande Bharat to halt at Jalandhar

Amritsar-Delhi Vande Bharat Express train, which is likely to be flagged off on December 30, will have a halt at the Jalandhar city railway station. As per the proposed timetable, the train will start from Amritsar at 8:30 am and reach the national capital at 1:50 pm. The train will halt at Jalandhar at 9:26 am, Ludhiana at 10:16 am and Ambala at 11:34 am.

Katra-Delhi Vande Bharat Express to halt at Udhampur, Kathua  

Union Minister said that the train will have stops in Udhampur and Kathua, besides coming as a huge relief, provide ease of travel, ease of business and overall ease of living. The minister expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for responding to the consistent demand for its stoppage in Kathua and Udhampur.

Ever since the first Vande Bharat train started operating from Katra and Delhi in 2019, there has been a consistent demand for its stoppage in Kathua and Udhampur as well.

Notably, Vande Bharat Express is India's first indigenous semi-high-speed Vande Bharat Express.The indigenously made train, equipped with world-class amenities and advanced safety features including KAVACH technology, will boost tourism in both states.
