Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel birth anniversary: Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's birth anniversary, celebrated as 'Rashtriya Ekta Divas,' was observed with great reverence today, including the 'Run for Unity' event.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his greetings to the nation on the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhai Patel. In remembrance of Patel's remarkable contributions to the country, PM Modi emphasised that Sardar Patel's unwavering commitment to national integration continues to serve as a guiding light for all citizens.

"On the Jayanti of Sardar Patel, we remember his indomitable spirit, visionary statesmanship, and the extraordinary dedication with which he shaped the destiny of our nation. His commitment to national integration continues to guide us. We are forever indebted to his service," PM Modi conveyed on social media.
To commemorate Sardar Patel's birth anniversary, the Prime Minister participated in a thrilling stunt performance organized by CRPF's women personnel at the Statue of Unity, located near Kevadia in Gujarat. Notably, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) was established in accordance with Sardar Patel's vision, and he is revered as the founder of the CRPF.
The event also featured performances by artists from villages along the India-China border, adding a cultural dimension to the celebration.
In New Delhi, a special event took place at Patel Chowk, where President Droupadi Murmu, Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and other esteemed dignitaries paid their respects by offering floral tributes to the statue of Sardar Patel.
Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's birth anniversary is celebrated as 'Rashtriya Ekta Divas,' which includes the 'Run for Unity' rally. The event was initiated by Amit Shah at the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium in the national capital. The flag-off was followed by a solemn Unity oath.
During his address, Amit Shah recalled Sardar Patel's pivotal role in achieving national unity and emphasized that the first Home Minister of India played a significant part in unifying the country. Shah highlighted how Sardar Patel diligently worked to bring together the numerous princely states that were divided by the British at the time of India's independence.
