Tragic death: 24-year-old electrocuted on treadmill at Delhi gym
New Delhi, July 20: In a heart-wrenching incident, a 24-year-old man, identified as Saksham Pruthi, lost his life due to electrocution while running on a treadmill at a gym in north Delhi's Rohini area.
Saksham, a BTech graduate who worked at a Gurugram-based firm, was a resident of Rohini Sector 19. He frequented the Gymplex Fitness Zone in Sector 15 for his workout sessions.
The unfortunate incident occurred around 7:30 am on Tuesday when Saksham collapsed while exercising on the treadmill. The postmortem examination confirmed electrocution as the cause of his untimely demise.
Following the tragedy, the gym manager, Anubhav Duggal, was taken into custody by the police. A case has been registered against him under sections relating to culpable homicide not amounting to murder and negligent conduct with respect to machinery.
The authorities are conducting a further investigation into the matter to determine the circumstances that led to the electrocution and ensure appropriate action is taken in response to this devastating loss.
