UP horror: Neighbour chokes 5-year-old to death to take revenge on his mother
PTC News Desk: The shocking murder of a five-year-old boy by a neighbour seeking revenge on his mother has shaken the Muzzafarnagar community. Asifa, the accused, allegedly kidnapped the boy while he was playing outside and strangled him to death as "revenge" on his mother. Asifa was brought to court and sentenced to jail.
The accused confessed to her crime in front of the police, claiming that her neighbour Danista Begum (the boy's mother) frequently insulted her, prompting her to take such drastic measures. The boy went missing from his home on Saturday, November 11, and his body was discovered three days later inside a sack on the outskirts of Tewra village.
After the family was unable to locate the boy in the village, the boy's father filed a missing complaint with the Kakrauli police station, according to the Times of India. According to the local police, a case was initially filed against unknown individuals.
However, following a thorough investigation, the accused's house was raided and the boy's skullcap, slipper, and the rope used to choke the boy were seized. The accused was arrested a day after the boy went missing.
Asifa allegedly locked the child inside her home and strangled him to death. Asifa claimed in her statement that Danista Begum hurled slurs at her and even barred her from entering Danista Begum's house.
Sunil Kasana, SHO of Kakrauli, stated that Asifa is facing murder charges and that more evidence is being gathered as the investigation into the murder case continues.
