PTC News Desk: The UP Child Commission rescued 95 children on Friday who were allegedly being transported illegally from Bihar to Uttar Pradesh. The incident highlights concerns about child trafficking.

Sarvesh Awasthi, Chairperson of the Ayodhya Child Welfare Committee, stated that on Friday morning, after receiving information from UP Child Commission member Suchitra Chaturvedi, CWC members rescued the children.

"At around 9 a.m., UP Child Commission member Suchitra Chaturvedi called and said that minor children from Bihar were being illegally transported to Saharanpur and that they were in Gorakhpur and would travel via Ayodhya. We rescued the children and provided food and medical care," Awasthi stated.

He stated that the children who were rescued were between the ages of 4 and 12.

"Those who brought the children did not have consent letters from their parents. The children are between the ages of 4 and 12, and the majority of them said they had no idea where they were being taken. Parents are being contacted, and the children will be handed over when they arrive. There were a total of 95 children," the CWC Chairperson stated.
