Uttarakhand: In a tragic and dreadful incident, four killed and four others injured after vehicle fell into a gorge in Uttarakhand's Pithoragarh district on Monday
According to an official statement on Monday (April 22), the District Control Room in Pithoragarh alerted the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) regarding an accident involving a vehicle in the Pithoragarh district, near Andoli in the Ancholi region.
The vehicle, transporting a total of eight individuals who were returning home after attending a wedding ceremony, lost control and plunged into a gorge approximately 200 meters deep, as reported by the official.

Upon receiving this information, an SDRF team, led by ASI Sundar Singh Bora, immediately departed for the accident site, the official added.
Local people rescued 4 injured individuals and sent them to the hospital.
Upon arriving at the scene, the SDRF team collaborated with local police and residents. Together, they conducted efforts to recover the bodies of four deceased individuals from the gorge and subsequently handed them over to the district police, as per the official statement.
