Viral video: Man allegedly consumes drugs on Mumbai local, Railway responds

Viral video: A shocking video showing a group comprising six men and one woman allegedly consuming drugs on a local train in Mumbai has gone viral on social media.

The video which is now viral was shared on X by user Adarsh, who claimed that the group was in possession of multiple types of drugs.

According to the tweet, the incident occurred on September 1, and the group disembarked late at night at Nalasopara station. In the video, a man can be seen snorting something while another individual appears to help him.

Many users demanded adequate punishment, while others expressed concerns over passenger safety in trains and buses and tagged Mumbai police and railway authorities.

Railway authorities tagged the Divisional Railway Manager of Western Railway in response to the allegations. ''Matter has been notified to concerned officials for necessary action,'' Mumbai Central Division tweeted.
