Navjot Singh Sidhu's posters torn in Ludhiana amid rift in Punjab Congress
Captain Amarinder Singh vs Navjot Sidhu Sidhu: Amid the rift in Punjab Congress, the posters of Congress leader Navjot Sidhu Sidhu, put up by supporters, were ripped off in Ludhiana.
Following the hint by Congress Punjab affairs in-charge Harish Rawat regarding the formula to do away with differences between Punjab chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh and prominent leader Navjot Singh Sidhu, posters of Sidhu were put up at several places in Ludhiana.

While the rift in Punjab Congress is escalating, Navjot Sidhu is in Delhi on Friday to meet the High Command following the summon. Following the talks between Punjab CM and Punjab Congress in-charge Harish Rawat over Sidhu's meetings, the High Command summoned Navjot Singh Sidhu to Delhi.

Harish Rawat, on Thursday, after meeting party interim chief Sonia Gandhi, had said, "No no, I didn't say that. I was asked if he (Navjot Singh Sidhu) will be made president of Punjab Congress and I said that a decision will be taken around what you're saying."
As per the sources, Punjab CM is adamant that if Sidhu would be appointed as the President of Punjab Congress, the party will break up in the state.
Due to the ongoing rift in Punjab Congress, Congress leaders have been holding meetings. Now, Navjot Singh Sidhu will be meeting the party’s interim president Sonia Gandhi at his residence on Friday.
