New COVID-19 recoveries in India exceeds new cases for 3 continuous weeks: Health Ministry
India's COVID-19 tally has crossed the 69 lakh-mark with a spike of 70,496 new cases and 964 new coronavirus deaths reported in the last 24 hours, as of Friday morning. The total number of coronavirus cases has increased to 69,06,152 out of which 8,93,592 are active cases, 59,06,070 have been cured, and discharged while 1,06,490 COVID patients have died so far due to the pandemic, the Union Health Ministry said in a statement. The Union Health Ministry on Friday said that new COVID-19 recoveries in India have exceeded the new cases for 3 continuous weeks, unabated. The new cases during these 3 weeks have displayed a steady trend of decline, it added.
