Before the 2019 elections, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reshuffled his cabinet. This is the third amendment they made after 2014. This time, 9 new ministers are included in the cabinet while the old four ministers are promoted. Nirmala Sitharaman will become the first Indian woman Defence Minister after Indira Gandhi. She is likely to take over from Arun Jaitley on Tuesday. Commerce Ministry will be taken over by Railways Minister Suresh Prabhu, while Piyush Goyal is going to handle the Ministry of Railways. Apart from these, here are other highlights from the Cabinet reshuffle of PM Modi: Gajendra Singh Shekhawat has been made the Union Minister of State in the Union Government. He has previously been a Parliament from Jodhpur. Hardeep Singh Puri has sworn in as the Minister of State as he is considered very good in foreign policy and national security. In addition, he had served as United Nations as ambassador. Ananthkumar Hegde, a Lok Sabha MP from Karnataka and a member of the parliamentary committee on foreign and human resources. He is considered to be highly skilled in Taekwondo. Shiv Pratap Shukla, who is the Rajya Sabha MP from UP. In addition, he is also a Member of Parliamentary Committee (Rural Development). It is to be believed that during the Emergency, he was jailed for 19 months under MISA. Virender Kumar is MP from Lok Sabha MP. In addition, he has done Ph.D. in MA and Child Labor with Economics. At last, Ashwini Kumar Choube, a Lok Sabha MP from Bihar.
