Parliament Winter Session: Govt 'denies' having record of farmers died during agitation
Parliament Winter Session 2021: The Central Government on Wednesday "denied" having a record of farmers who died during the protest at Delhi borders. While answering the question on whether it proposes to provide financial assistance to the kin of farmers who died during the protest, the Government said that the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmer's Welfare has no record in the matter, and hence the question does not arise. Farmers have been protesting against the farm laws since November 26, 2020. On Monday, November 29, the government tabled Farm Laws Repeal Bill 2021 in both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha which were passed without discussion.
