People of J&K also belong to Maa Bharti: PM Narendra Modi in Aloka, Maharashtra

After Haryana, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed an election rally in Akola, Maharashtra, where he made it clear that people of Jammu and Kashmir are very much a part of mainstream India. Criticizing those who say that Article 370 has nothing to do with Maharashtra Assembly elections and that Jammu and Kashmir has nothing to do with Maharashtra, PM Modi said, “I want to tell such people that J&K and its people are also sons of Maa Bharti.”

The prime minister also slammed the opposition for neglecting law and order in Maharashtra. “At one time, there were regular incidents of terrorism and hatred in Maharashtra. The culprits escaped and settled in different countries. India wants to ask people who were in power then, how did all this happen? How did they escape?” He questioned.

On Tuesday, he raised his voice against terrorism during an election rally in Haryana. He said, “Politics continues, elections come and go, victory and loss happens, but national security remains the top priority. Till when will terrorism and separatism prevail in J&K? Till when will brave soldiers will be martyred?” He asked.

He also accused the Congress of doing nothing to give a normal life to youths in the valley. “In Kashmir, we see mothers offering Namaz five times a day, asking Allah to save their sons from terrorism. I want to ask Congress leaders, shouldn’t the mothers get their sons back?”
