Petrol, Diesel prices touch fresh all-time highs on May 12

Petrol, diesel prices today: The petrol and diesel prices have touched all-time highs across the metros on Wednesday as the rates hiked for the third straight day.

Since May 4, it was the seventh hike in prices, when the state-owned oil companies ended an 18-day hiatus in rate revision.

Petrol, diesel prices today: Petrol and diesel prices touched all-time highs across metros as the rates hiked for the third straight day.

In Delhi, the petrol prices were raised by 25 paise from Rs 91.80 per litre to Rs 92.05 per litre while diesel reached from Rs 82.36 per litre to Rs 82.61 per litre, according to Indian Oil Corporation.

Petrol, diesel prices today: Petrol and diesel prices touched all-time highs across metros as the rates hiked for the third straight day.

As of now, the fuel rates have been highest in the financial capital of the country. The petrol and diesel prices today in Mumbai was retailed at Rs 98.36 per litre and Rs 89.75 per litre, respectively.

Petrol, diesel prices today: Petrol and diesel prices touched all-time highs across metros as the rates hiked for the third straight day.

The state-run oil companies including Indian Oil Corporation, Bharat Petroleum and Hindustan Petroleum revise the rates of domestic fuel with the global crude oil prices keeping into account the changes in the foreign exchange rates.

Every new change in fuel rates are implemented with effect from 6 am every day.
