PM Modi To Address Farmers, Scientists, Entrepreneurs On World Bio Fuel Day Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend and address a diverse gathering at Vigyan Bhawan on Friday to mark Biofuel day. Farmers, scientists, entrepreneurs, students, legislators and government officials will be attending the event. The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas is organising the event to mark the importance of biofuels. It is an effort to highlight the efforts that the government is putting in, in this sector. The government has been observing the World Biofuel Day for the last three years on August 10. As a result of the efforts of the Centre, ethanol blending in petrol has increased to 141 crore litres in the financial year 2017-18, as compared to 38 crore litres in 2013-14. The Government also approved the National Policy on Biofuels in June. -PTC NEWS
