PM Modi has given to farmers that no PM could in the last 70 years: Sukhbir Badal Shiromani Akali Dal President Sukhbir Singh Badal congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi for being the first PM of India in the last 70 years to find a 'formula' for the farmers, here at the thanksgiving rally in Malout on Wednesday. 'Till date we have had fifteen Prime Minster in India, but the four years of your (Narendra Modi) hard work for the poor, the farmer and the common man have been of immense contribution to Punjab and other states. Not just the farmers of Punjab but also the infrastructure of Punjab has seen a revolution in your rule,' said Sukhbir Singh Badal. 'The enthusiastic farmers are here today in the scorching heat to thank you for the historic decision that have benefited them,' said SAD president to PM Modi during the rally. Meanwhile, BJP President and Rajya Sabha MP Shwait Malik said that it’s a farmer’s rally and they were receiving encouraging response. The warm response being received was because of the anti-farmers policies by the Punjab government, alleged Malik. State BJP Chief Malik added,”PM Modi has fulfilled promises made to farmers, but the Congress government in Punjab hasn’t." ALSO READ: Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrives at the Kisan Kalyan Rally in Malout The rally is been organised by the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Malout in Mukhtsar to address the issue of recent hike in the Minimum Support Price (MSP) of Kharif crops. The government had recently announced a hike in the MSP for paddy by Rs. 200 per quintal. -PTC News
