HP Assembly Budget Session to begin on March 14

Shimla (Himachal Pradesh), March 10: Himachal Pradesh Assembly Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania announced on Friday that the state's budget session will begin on March 14.

It will be the 14th Legislative Assembly's second session and the current government's first budget session.


"The session will continue till April 6 and there will be a total of 18 sittings in this session," Pathania said.

The obituary will be presented in the House on March 14.

Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu will present the budget estimates for the financial year 2023-2024 in the House on March 17.

March 16 and March 24 have been earmarked as Private Member days.

"Budget estimates will be discussed on March 20, 21, 22 and 23 (four days) and follow-up demands will be discussed on March 27, 28, and 29 (three days) and the budget will be passed on March 29 or the financial year 2023 2024," Pathania further said.

So far, a total of 543 marked questions have been received, 391 online and 152 offline, he said, referring to the notices sent by the members in this session.

While 189 unstarred questions were received, 164 were online and 25 were offline. The majority of these questions have been forwarded to the government for further action in accordance with the rules.
