PM Modi mocks INDIA Bloc with 'parivar' jibe in Varanasi

PTC News Desk: Speaking at an event in his parliamentary constituency Varanasi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a swipe at the Opposition's INDIA bloc, accusing them of prioritising familial interests over the welfare of the nation.

Addressing the audience during an event commemorating Sant Ravidas' 647th birth anniversary, PM Modi criticised the INDIA alliance, alleging that its members engage in caste-based politics and obstruct schemes aimed at benefiting marginalised communities.

The INDIA bloc, despite initial hurdles, appears to be consolidating in various states, with ongoing alliance talks between the Congress and AAP in Delhi, and the finalisation of a Congress-Samajwadi Party alliance in Uttar Pradesh. The BJP dismisses the INDIA bloc as an unnatural alliance, citing internal conflicts among its constituents.

Asserting his government's commitment to inclusive development, PM Modi reiterated the mantra of "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, and Sabka Effort." He emphasised the importance of prioritising the upliftment of disadvantaged sections of society for achieving true equality. PM Modi highlighted his government's focus on the marginalised, noting that significant strides have been made in the past decade to address the needs of those previously marginalised in development initiatives.
