Delhi horror: 32-year-old woman stabbed to death, husband injured in fight over parking dispute
PTC News Desk: A dispute over motorcycle parking turned deadly in southwest Delhi's Bindapur area, where a 32-year-old woman was killed and her husband seriously injured in a stabbing incident, police said on Saturday.
The incident was reported to the Bindapur Police Station at around 2:50 pm. The caller informed police that two or three men had stabbed his daughter and son-in-law in the stomach.
By the time officers reached the scene, the victims had already been taken to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital. Doctors declared the woman, identified as Aarti, dead on arrival.
Her husband, Vicky, who also suffered stab injuries, was later shifted to Safdarjung Hospital for specialised treatment.
During the initial investigation, police found that the couple had allegedly been involved in an argument with their neighbours over the parking of a motorcycle on the road. The confrontation reportedly escalated into violence, during which Aarti and Vicky were attacked with a knife.
Police identified the accused as 40-year-old Pappu and a juvenile, both residents of the same locality. Pappu has been detained, while efforts are underway to locate and apprehend the minor.
The police have launched a further investigation into the incident.
