Senior SAD leader Ranjit Singh Brahmpura dies aged 85 after prolonged illness
Mohali, December 13: Senior Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Ranjit Singh Brahmpura Ranjit Singh Brahmpura died aged 85 on Tuesday after a prolonged illness. He breathed his last at the PGI, Chandigarh. He had been designated SAD patron recently.
The last rites will be performed at his native village Brahmapura district, Tarn Taran, on Wednesday (December 14) at 1 pm. Various political personalities, including Sukhbir Badal, will be attended the funeral.
According to a statement issued by the PGI, the senior politician and former MP of Punjab was admitted in Liver ICU at PGIMER on December 6 with UTI, LRTI, acute on chronic liver failure and acute on chronic kidney disease. He was also suffering from hepatocellular carcinoma, diabetes, hypertension and coronary artery disease. He breathed his last on December 13 at 1:57 pm with circulatory and respiratory failure and sepsis.
