BSF, Punjab Police apprehends 2 smugglers, recovers heroin from Amritsar
PTC News Desk: A joint team of Border Security Force (BSF) and Punjab Police recovered another nefarious attempt of smugglers in Punjab’s Amritsar U/Dhaliwal village.
On the night intervening night of October 12th and 13th, BSF intercepted a suspected drone as well as heard some dropping sound near Amritsar’s U/Dhaliwal village.
In a joint search operation by Punjab Police and BSF, one packet of contraband item suspected to be Heroin (Gross wt - 540 gms), wrapped with yellow adhesive tape, a metallic ring attached and one packet wrapped with black adhesive tape with LED attached to it has been recovered by BSF from the farming fields of Amritsar’s U/Dhaliwal village.
Further in a joint operation with Punjab Police Amritsar (R) and BSF troops apprehended two suspected smugglers alongwith one motor cycle from a house of village of Udhar Dhariwal, PS - Lopoke, District - Amritsar.
BSF Punjab Frontier also took to their official Twitter handle and wrote, “Vigilant troops of @BSF_Punjab intercepted a Pakistani drone that had violated Indian Airspace to smuggle drugs in Indian Territory and recovered one packet of Heroin (Gross weight - 540gms) wrapped with yellow adhesive tape.”

Vigilant troops of BSF and Punjab Police once again recovered the nefarious design of smugglers.
