Chandigarh: Court sends accused to judicial custody in six-year-old murder case
Chandigarh, January 19: In a major update in horrific six-year-old murder case where girl body was found near the railway tracks of Chandigarh Industrial Area Phase-II, the police arrested the accused.
The accused was produced in Chandigarh’s local court and remanded to judicial custody.
SHO Manisha Kumari gave the verdict on the case and sent accused to judicial custody.
As per the police investigation, accused had an illicit relationship with victim’s father Chandan, also a Ram Darbar resident.
Angry Amrita allegedly took away his six-year-old daughter from her house and in a fit of rage, she allegedly dumped her on the railway tracks.
Notably, six-year-old girl was missing from January 13 and a day later her body was found near the railway tracks around 800 metres from her home.
