Delhi blast case: NIA conducts raids in Ludhiana, detains doctor linked to Al-Falah University
PTC News Desk: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted raids in Ludhiana in connection with investigation into the Delhi blast case. The central agency is examining the records of all the students linked to Al-Falah University.
During investigation an alleged Ludhiana connection with the blast case has also emerged following raid in Ludhiana's Bal Singh Nagar. The investigation team searched the clinic and premises of Dr. Jaan Nisar Alam, who completed his MBBS from Al-Falah University. However he was no present at either of the location as he had gone to Dalkhola village in Bengal.
The NIA team then raided the location in Bengal and took the doctor into custody for questioning. He was interrogated throughout the day and released in the evening. It has been reported that the agency has seized the doctor’s laptop and mobile phone, which are currently being examined.
The team informed the doctor that whenever they need more information, he will be called again to join the investigation, and he must appear. Today, Dr. Alam has been summoned to the NIA office in Delhi for further questioning.
Dr. Jaan Nisar Alam’s father, Tohid Alam, said that officials had visited their home and questioned them. He explained that his son took admission in MBBS in 2020 and completed his internship in 2025. He is now running his own clinic in Ludhiana.
