Entrance exam for Maharaja Ranjit Singh AFPI to take place at Mohali on Jan 22
Mohali, January 20: The entrance test to the prestigious Maharaja Ranjit Singh Armed Forces Preparatory Institute located at Mohali to take place on January 22.

The test is held to select candidates for training for joining the armed forces through the National Defence Academy and the program is run under the aegis of the Punjab Govt. Through this test, 48 candidates will be chosen from all over Punjab to train under the watchful eyes of dedicated staff of the Institute who have been instrumental in sending almost 200 boys to the armed forces since its inception in 2011.
This year, a record number of boys (3129), have registered themselves for the test which will be held at three centres-Mohali, Bhatinda and Jalandhar on Sunday, 22 Jan 23. The top 150 of successful candidates will be called for the final selection process at a later date.
Maj Gen Ajay H Chauhan, VSM, Director of the Institute, says that this good response has been largely due to the efforts of the Government and the positive publicity this Institute has earned over the years owing to its high success rate.
