PTC News Desk: During the operation, police also recovered two pistols, four magazines and 60 live cartridges. Authorities suspect that the entire consignment may have been sent from across the border through drones or other means and was meant to be supplied in Punjab and other parts of the country.
Police have registered a case and started an investigation to identify the owner of the house and other people linked to the smuggling network. Officials said the involvement of an international drug trafficking gang cannot be ruled out at this stage.
According to authorities, major revelations are likely in the coming days. Security has been tightened in the area and surveillance along the border has been increased.
