Punjab horror: Violence against daughters and women of the nation is increasing with each passing day which has become a serious and deeply concerning issue especially in Punjab, Delhi and NRC. The violence against women can take place in various forms including physical, emotional, and economic abuse. 

An uptick in such cases is a serious issue for society and is also raising questions on the law-and-order situation in the nation.


A recent spine-chilling incident from Punjab sent shockwaves and spread terror, panic and scare among communities. 

In a recent horrific, spine-chilling and shocking incident, a 6-months pregnant woman with twins was allegedly tied o a bed and was set on fire by her husband following an argument on Friday. 

This harrowing incident unfolded on Friday in Buley Nangal village in Rayya area in Amritsar. 

The 23-year-old woman, six months into her pregnancy, tragically lost her life at the scene, as confirmed by the police.

According to reports, the couple engaged in a heated dispute on Friday, leading the husband to tie the victim, identified as Pinky, expecting twins, to a bed before committing the heinous act. 

Authorities stated that Sukhdev, the husband, and Pinky had a tumultuous relationship, often quarreling over various matters. Following the fatal altercation, Sukhdev fled the scene.

The National Commission for Women (NCW) promptly responded to the incident, condemning the brutality and demanding accountability. The NCW Chairperson, Rekha Sharma, urged the Punjab Police to swiftly apprehend the perpetrator and submit a comprehensive report within three days to address the issue of domestic violence effectively.

Sukhdev, who had evaded authorities since the incident, was eventually apprehended by the police late last evening. 

A case has been filed, and investigations are ongoing.
