Sidhu Moosewala's father Balkaur Sidhu joins Bharat Jodo Yatra in Punjab
Jalandhar, January 15: The father of murdered Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, Balkaur Singh Sidhu, on Sunday joined the Congress's Bharat Jodo Yatra, which is currently on its Punjab leg.
The party shared a video of Balkaur Singh Sidhu meeting Rahul Gandhi on Twitter.
"Today #BharatJodoYatra Balkaur Singh Sidhu ji, father of famous Punjabi singer Late Sidhu Musewala, along with @RahulGandhi ji gave a befitting reply to the forces spreading hatred, fear and violence. Sidhu Musewala was murdered in broad daylight in Mansa, Punjab," the Congress said on Twitter.
Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, popularly known as Sidhu Moosewala, was gunned down in Punjab's Mansa district last May.
Many joined Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra as it resumed from Jalandhar's Khalsa College Ground on Sunday after being suspended for 24 hours due to the death of Congress MP Santokh Chaudhary.
Earlier, Rahul Gandhi paid his respects to Santokh Chaudhary at his cremation ground in Jalandhar's Dhaliwal village, the late Congress MP's ancestral home.
