Students' deportation from Canada: Jalandhar police locate office of travel agent
Chandigarh, March 16: The Jalandhar Police in Punjab claimed to have located the office of a travel agent, who had issued "fake documents" to over 700 Indian students facing deportation from Canada.
The Jalandhar police said although they had located the office of the accused travel agent near the city bus depot, it had been lying shut for the past six months. The police are now verifying other details. However, no formal complaint has been received in this regard so far.

As per reports in the media, 700 Indian students are facing deportation from Canada as they were issued fake documents by a Jalandhar-based travel agent. They had gone to Canada on student visa in 2018-19 intake. However, the scam came to light when they applied for PR in Canada recently.
