Sukhbir Singh Badal visits Fortis Hospital to enquire after Rajvir Jawanda's health
PTC Web Desk: Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president Sukhbir Singh Badal on Tuesday visited Fortis Hospital, Mohali, to inquire about the health condition of Punjabi singer-actor Rajvir Jawanda, who continues to remain in a critical state following a tragic road accident in Himachal Pradesh’s Baddi.
Sukhbir Singh Badal met Jawanda’s family members and assured them of all possible support during this difficult time. “Rajvir Jawanda is a beloved artist of Punjab. The entire Punjabi community is praying for his speedy recovery,” he said after his visit.
According to previous medical bulletins issued by Fortis Hospital authorities, Jawanda remains on prolonged ventilator support with minimal brain activity. Despite intensive medical care, there has been no significant improvement in his condition. MRI scans have revealed hypoxic brain changes, indicating oxygen deprivation, while imaging of the spine showed severe damage to the cervical and dorsal regions, causing paralysis in all four limbs.
Jawanda was admitted to the hospital after a serious accident on September 27, when his motorcycle collided with stray cattle that suddenly came onto the road. The impact left him with critical head and spinal injuries.
Fans and fellow artists across Punjab continue to express their concern and prayers for the singer’s recovery.
