Punjab announces holiday for Haryana voters on October 21

Punjab government has declared a holiday on October 21 for Haryana residents working in the state departments so that they can cast their vote in the Haryana Assembly elections, 2019. Officials said any official or employee working in any government offices, boards, corporations and educational institutions of Punjab, who is a voter in Haryana, can avail a special leave to cast vote. As per the announcement, the employee has to submit a copy of his voter card to his department and no leave will be deducted from the leave balance. A notification has been issued in this regard.
