Punjab elections 2022: Navjot Singh Sidhu describes 'AAP CM face' campaign a scam
Punjab Vidhan Sabha Election News: Days after Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) announced Bhagwant Mann as the chief ministerial candidate for the Punjab Assembly elections 2022, Punjab Congress president Navjot Singh Sidhu on Monday slammed the AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal calling him "a scamster".
Exposing 'AAP CM face scam', Navjot Singh Sidhu said that the Aam Aadmi Party claimed to have received 21,59,437 responses while it was not possible to receive as many calls on a normal mobile number.
On January 13, the AAP announced that they will choose their CM candidate through public voting and launched a mobile number for the same. On January 18, the AAP announced the results of their voting for CM candidate and named Bhagwant Mann as CM face for the Punjab Assembly elections 2022.

How AAP's "Janata Chunegi Apna CM" was a way to fool and scam the people of Punjab?
Navjot Singh Sidhu said that AAP used a normal mobile number and not a commercial number for this 'Janata Chunegi Apna CM' campaign. "A normal mobile number can not receive 21,59,431 calls, SMS, or Whatsapp messages in 4 days," he claimed.
"If one call takes a minimum of 15 seconds to record, then in one day only 5,760 responses can be recorded," he said, adding that the maximum calls can only be 23,040.
Furthermore, he said that the AAP did not use an automated way to calculate responses from people, hence it was absolutely not possible to manually listen or check 21,59,437 calls and messages, within 4 days.
AAP asked people to simply message or call and say the name of people whom they want to see as the AAP's CM face. To this, the PPCC president said that "he (Kejriwal) is a habitual liar and that he will try to prove it correct all the time."
Arvind Kejriwal is trying to create an illusion and a fake perception," Sidhu said, adding that the AAP chief was trying to promote this fake news. He termed Arvind Kejriwal as a masquerader. No one can decode and analyse such a number of calls and messages in 24 hours, he said.
He also informed that he has written a complaint against the AAP to the Election Commission for befooling the voters. "Kejriwal is trying to befool the people of Punjab through his dirty tricks. AAP has created a hybrid model of fake news," Sidhu said.
"What he (Kejriwal) is trying to say is that they received around 8-12 messages in one second and that they were decoding it at the same time. What kind of scientist is he?" Navjot Singh Sidhu asked.
He further challenged the AAP chief to sit next to him and let him tell the truth. Sidhu also challenged Kejriwal to submit the record of calls and messages.
