He said that the Punjab government had promised the National Health Mission employees during the elections that after the formation of the government, all NHM employees (corona warriors) recruited through the proper system would be regularized on priority basis. Now the Punjab government seems to be reneging on its promise. He said that the National Health Mission employees across the state, who have been struggling for their rightful demands for a long time, completely stopped work for 2 hours on September 12 from 12 to 2 o'clock last week at the district level in Punjab. Joginder Singh State Secretary said that taking into consideration the services rendered by the employees working under the National Health Mission in the Punjab Government Health Department during the Covid-19 pandemic, by making a special universal regulation policy for the National Health Mission, all the employees of the National Health Mission shoulb be regularized without discrimination otherwise the protest will be intensified. He said that the employees of the National Health Mission have decided to take to the streets against the government today as part of their protests against the Aam Aadmi Party government's reneging on its promises. During the coming days, demand letters will be handed over to the legislators and ministers of the Punjab government by the National Health Mission contractors of all the districts across Punjab and protests will be held against the Punjab government. Senior Vice President Kiranjit Kaur and Press Secretary Kamaljit Kaur Barnala gave a strong warning to the Punjab government that until the Punjab government makes a full announcement regarding the regularization of the employees of the National Health Mission, the protest against the government will continue in the same way.
