It is learnt that Sandeep alias Kekra was roped in for doing the recce by Sachin Bishnoi, who had earlier claimed to have killed Sidhu Moosewala. Sachin is "the nephew of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi", who is lodged in Delhi's Tihar's jail and is also being questioned in Moosewala murder case.

Sources said Kekra was “not an active gangster”, and haled from a village near Kalianwali in Sirsa district of Haryana.
Kekra had reportedly gone to Sidhu Moosewala’s house on May 29 evening and was among a group of men who clicked selfies with Moosewala. He then shared the information with the killers.
A CCTV footage just before the crime that surfaced this morning where a group of men gathered near Moosewala's jeep to get selfies provided the police with the crucial leads to nab Kekra.
On the other hand, the Punjab Police have identified eight suspected sharp shooters, who allegedly killed Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala at Mansa on May 29. As per information, the accused have been identified as Manpreet Singh Mannu, Jagroop Singh Roopa and Harkamal alias Ranu from Punjab, Priyavrat Fauji and Manjeet alias Bholu from Haryana, Saurav Mahakal and Santosh Jadhav from Pune and Subhash Banuda from Rajasthan.

Earlier, Davinder alias Kala was nabbed on Sunday evening from Haryana's Fatehabad. Two suspects involved in the killing had allegedly stayed with him, police sources said on Monday.
On June 3, two other suspects were nabbed by the Punjab Police from Fatehabad and their roles in Moosewala's killing were being probed.
