A special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court will pronounce the quantum of punishment for Dera Sacha Sauda Chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Insan and other three convicts via video conferencing in journalist Ram Chander Chattarpati murder case on Thursday.

The state government had requested the CBI Court to allow Dera chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh’s appearance through video conferencing, citing the violence which was erupted in Panchkula after the conviction of Dera Chief in rape case.

The CBI special judge Jagdeep Singh on January 11 had convicted Gurmeet Ram Rahim and three other convicts in the journalist Ram Chander Chattrapati murder case.
