Ujjain, September 7: Brahmastra star cast Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt face backlash in Ujjain over former’s ‘beef’ comment. A protest was erupted while duo was entering the famous Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain to seek blessings ahead of release of their movie on September 9. During their visit, the members of Bajrang Dal prevented Ranbir-Alia from entering the temple over the actor’s 11 year old comment that he likes beef. The video of the protest is doing the rounds on social media. Apparently an old video of Ranbir Kapoor was dug by netizens where he said that he likes to eat beef and the actor has been facing subsequent backlash ever since the video is being circulated on social media. bribe Boosting the boycott trend which resulted in downfall of many Bollywood films at the box-office, #BoycottBrahmastra is trending on social media after the video has gone viral. Apparently Ranbir and Alia were not permitted to enter the premises and only Ayan was able to seek the blessings. Meanwhile Congress Rajya Sabha member Priyanka Chaturvedi  took to twitter and wrote, "None of this photo op will help if you'll continue to be mute spectators to hate and believe it's not your business to talk politics. They will come after you anyway. Mahakaleshwar temple protests in Ujjain is a case in point. Shame that political prejudice is leading to such ugliness." "We are protesting against Ranbir Kapoor and won't let him enter the Mahakal temple.
